Expansion of BBTS.News delivery channel |
| To broaden its coverage to different sectors of society, BBTS.News has expanded its delivery channels from the
Association's trade partners to now cover all government departments, quasi-government organisations, consulates
and major libraries in Hong Kong. BBTS also reached an agreement with the Hong Kong Productivity Council to
distribute newsletters to their Small and Medium-sized enterprise centres (SME centres), with the result that
circulation has now reached some 1,100 issues bi-monthly. |

BBTS joins New Year Parade |
 The 2002 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Parade and the BBTS Float. |
To enhance the Chinese New Year festivities and further promote Association awareness amongst the general public, BBTS members
participated in the 2002 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Parade and Fiesta organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board on 12 February 2002.
To represent the Association and reflect its role within the tourism services industry, the BBTS float included in the Parade sported a large shopping bag, complete with smile on the front, specially decorated gift boxes, cartoon-style chefs and salespeople and was led by two stilt-walkers dressed as chefs.

Restaurant; Hsin Kuang Restaurant; Jessica; Sa Sa Cosmetics and Tom Lee Music Co Ltd. - participated in this spectacular event by co-sponsoring the float which was complete with fei chun (traditional
Chinese New Year greeting message) for visitors.

As well as participating in the Parade, BBTS also staffed a booth at the Fiesta held at the Tamar site in Admiralty on 12 and 13 February 2002, from which it distributed to visitors souvenirs, promotional
coupons and marketing literature contributed by 28 member organisations.
