Improved communications platforms
In tandem with the adoption of an identity that better reflects our role, the association adopted the new symbol in our newsletter, decal, website and collaterals such as the "Welcome Kit" for members. These initiatives were meant to communicate our new trade name to the public and our membership.

"QTSA News", published every quarter, provides members and those in the industry a glimpse of the latest developments of the association while also keeping its finger on the pulse of tourism and retailing industries. Like previous newsletters, its delivery channels embrace Government departments, quasi-Government organisations, consulates-general and the mass media. This bulletin now has a broad reach with 1,300 copies per issue and has become a one of the most widely-read trade publications.
The upgraded website www.qtsa.com is a useful fount of information and knowledge resource for members and the public. The site was improved to make it more informative and easier to navigate. A newly-added search engine places information about members at the user's fingertips. This feature helps to increase exposure for members among the public and tourists.

QTSA decals were exclusively offered to members so they could proudly display a well-recognised symbol of quality on their storefronts. For visitors to Hong Kong and residents, the QTSA decal signifies a retailer or a tourism service provider who can be trusted.

A new chapter begins

QTSA Inauguration Ceremony

The association's new name was announced at an inauguration ceremony attended by prominent personalities in the industry, members and well-wishers. The event was held on 19 December 2003 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was a great opportunity for QTSA members to get to know the Governing Council Members for 2003-2004.

QTSA Chairman, Mr Vincent Fang, JP and Honorary Adviser, the Hon Mrs Selina Chow, GBS, OBE, JP, were invited to officiate at the inauguration ceremony. Both addressed the gathering and expressed their hopes for a successful new beginning. On the same day, members were invited to attend the Quality Tourism Services Scheme Enhancement Launch Ceremony.
