(15 January 2010) The Quality Tourism Services Association (QTSA) is pleased to announce that Mr Tommy Li, MH, JP, and Dr Simon Kwok Siu Ming, JP, were recently elected as its Chairman and Vice-Chairman, respectively. Both will serve a two-year term of office.
Mr Li is Chairman of the Pak Shing Tong Group. He joined the QTSA Governing Council in 2003, and he has been its Vice-Chairman since 2006. He also plays significant roles in a number of other organisations. He is an Appointed Member of the Central and Western District Council, Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Industry Association, a Director of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, a Member of the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents, and a Member of the HKSAR Election Committee.
Dr Kwok has been a Member of the QTSA Governing Council since 2005. He is Chairman and CEO of Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd, and he dedicates his time and efforts to a wide range of organisations. He is Honorary Life President of the Cosmetic & Perfumery Association of Hong Kong, Honorary President of the Federation of the Beauty Industry (Hong Kong), and Vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of the Professional Validation Centre of the Hong Kong Business Sector.
The QTSA currently has more than 1,300 members, who between them represent over 7,000 outlets, including renowned retailers, restaurants and other service providers. One of its missions is to raise service quality of the industry by providing a wide range of training activities. It is committed to collaborating with the government and other related parties in order to create a better business environment. In addition, it is dedicated to enhancing the visibility of members via the Association’s focused marketing and promotional support.
